सार
The development of remote services in the library sector, driven by modern information and communication technologies (ICT), has led to significant global transformations. This article scientifically analyzes the trends in the development of remote services, thoroughly exploring their advantages, challenges, and future prospects in a broader context. Digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud technologies, open access initiatives, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), blockchain technologies, and digital literacy enhancement strategies are examined as key drivers of the sector’s evolution. Particular attention is given to challenges such as digital inequality, information quality, infrastructural limitations, and ethical concerns. The article also analyzes the state of remote services in the context of Uzbekistan, comparing local and global experiences, and aims to identify the sector’s role in the global information society and its future directions.
